Rotarians throughout Georgia are excited about your engagement in the program! 2021 marks the 75th Anniversary of this remarkable program.

Participating in Conclave is a requirement for all GRSP Students. By participating in the student focused programming, you will have a much better experience, get some important questions answered and ensure that you get the most of out of your GRSP year. 

Mandatory for Students:

As a reminder, participation in Conclave is mandatory for all GRSP students regardless of your arrival date.

Friday, August 20

 

3:00PM: District Caucus Meetings

At this meeting you will meet the other GRSP students, GRSP Trustees and GRSP

Leaders from the Rotary District of your host clubs.

PLEASE NOTE: Georgia has three “Rotary Districts,”  District 6900, 6910 and 6920.   A map of the Georgia Rotary Districts can be downloaded HERE. Your “Host Clubs” will fall within one of these three districts. Each district will host a District Caucus meeting.  In your virtual meeting registration confirmation email, your Rotary District Number will be listed. 

Saturday, August 21

 

9:00am to 10:00am: Conclave Session #1

This session will start with a video introduction to GRSP, "The GRSP Story." Students from District 6910 will be invited to introduce themselves and former GRSP Chair and retired Superior Court Judge, Dennis Still will share with you how to avoid any legal issues during your time in Georgia.

10:00am to 10:15am: Break

10:15am to 11:15am: Conclave Session #2

Past GRSP Chair, Jim Drake will cover the most important elements of the GRSP Student Handbook and how GRSP supports you throughout your time in Georgia.

GRSP Secretary, Lorri Christopher will cover COVID safety measures. Students in District 6920 will introduce themselves and GRSP District 6920 Trustee Chair, Rob Kellner will introduce you Rotary International and Rotary in Georgia. You will also get to meet GRSP Administrator Barbara Lariscy and the GRSP staff. 

11:15am to 11:30am: Break

11:30am to 12:30pm: Conclave Session #3

You will learn about the GRSP Foundation, a central part of what makes your GRSP scholarship possible.  Students in District 6900 will introduce themselves. You will get to meet two recent GRSP alums who will give you some tips on how to get the most out of your year in Georgia.
